How do Income+ dividends work?

If I choose monthly payouts, when will the funds be credited?

Income+ Pure and Enhance

If you opt for monthly payouts, dividends from the underlying funds are collected throughout the month and credited to your Cash Balance or bank account within the first 10 days of the following month.

Example: 

Your Income+ portfolio becomes starts accumulating dividends in February.

Your first payout will be credited to your bank account by March 10.

 

Income+ Max 

For those who select monthly payouts, the portfolios will accumulate the dividends from the constituent funds on a monthly basis and pay out the proceeds to your Cash Balance or bank account between the 20th and 24th of the following month. 

Example: 

Your Income+ portfolio becomes starts accumulating dividends in February.

Your first payout will be credited to your bank account by end of March.

 

How often will I receive dividends? 

Each underlying fund in Income+ distributes dividends monthly.

 

How do I update my dividend setting to either payout or reinvest?

The default option is automatic reinvestment. To switch to monthly payout, please update your settings in the Syfe App after funding your Income+ portfolio. 

  1. Login to the Syfe App 
  2. Tap “Income Portfolio” 
  3. Select your Income+ portfolio 
  4. Scroll down to “Manage Dividends”
  5. Select “Payout”
  6. Choose to receive your payout in your bank account or your Cash Balance 

​You can switch back to reinvest at any time by following the same steps and selecting "Reinvest". 

 

What are the payout currencies for the different Income+  portfolios?

Income+ Pure and Enhance

The payout currency is preset to Hong Kong Dollars (HKD)

The payout currency cannot be changed

Income+ Max

You may choose to receive cash payouts in US Dollars (USD) or Hong Kong Dollars (HKD)

Note:

  • Since the Max portfolio is a USD-denominated portfolio, if you choose to receive monthly payouts in HKD, the system will convert the USD payout amount into HKD at the prevailing rate, and this process will involve foreign exchange conversion.
  • For USD payouts to a non-HSBC bank account, HSBC may charge a fee of around HKD 55. This fee is determined by HSBC and may change.

 

What are the requirements for the monthly payout option?

Monthly payouts can only be enabled if portfolio value is HK$10,000 or above.
