Your Syfe account can be funded in both HKD or USD.
Please be reminded that Syfe HKD and USD account numbers are different.
What happens if the deposit currency does not match the portfolio currency?
If you deposit funds in a currency that doesn’t match the portfolio’s denomination, Syfe will automatically convert the money to the appropriate currency.
Example: If you transfer USD to the Cash+ Flexi HKD, the funds will be converted to HKD before being invested.
Note: Syfe clients enjoy preferential currency conversion spreads of around 0.10%–0.13%, significantly lower than what retail would typically pay (~0.3%–0.5%) when converting through banks.
Here’s an overview of the currency denomination for each portfolio:
| Portfolio | Currency Denomination of the Portfolio |
| Cash+ Fixed | HKD & USD |
| Cash+ Flexi | HKD & USD |
| Income+ | HKD only |
| Syfe Core | USD only |
| Syfe Thematic | USD only |
✅Tip: Always check your portfolio’s denominated currency before transferring funds to avoid unnecessary conversion.
Can I deposit both HKD and USD on the same day?
You cannot create transfer plans for both HKD and USD on the same day. Please ensure that your transfer plans are set up on separate days if you wish to invest in both currencies.
