How do I safeguard myself from scammers and phishers?

Important Reminder: Syfe will NEVER ask you for your login password or One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or phone call.

If anyone contacts you claiming to be Syfe and requests the above information, it is a scam. Please terminate contact immediately and report it to us.

Security Best Practices

  1. Never click on links or open attachments from unknown emails, SMS messages, or websites – they may lead to phishing sites or install malware on your device.
  2. Do not reply to or click links in unsolicited messages.
  3. Never disclose your credit card details, OTP, or Syfe login password to unknown websites or third parties.
  4. If you receive a suspicious message, always verify it directly through official channels – never use the link provided in the message.
  5. Always access Syfe by manually typing https://www.syfe.com/en-hk/ or by using the official Syfe app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
  6. Never accept any unauthorised requests or provide OTP approvals coming to your Syfe account unless you initiated the request yourself
  7. Official Syfe emails are sent only from domain in @syfe.com (most commonly support.hk@syfe.com).
  8. When contacting us via social media, ensure you are communicating with our verified official accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
  9. Use a strong password of at least 12 characters containing uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols, and change it regularly.
  10. Avoid logging in or making transactions over public Wi-Fi unless protected by a trusted VPN.
  11. After using a shared or public computer, always log out and clear your browser cache.
  12. Keep your operating system, browser, and antivirus software up to date.

If You Suspect You Are a Victim of Phishing or Fraud, Act Immediately

  1. Stop all actions and close the suspicious page.
  2. Log in to your Syfe account from another trusted device and change your password immediately.
  3. Contact Syfe Support right away – we will freeze your account instantly to prevent further loss.
