The daily returns displayed for your Cash+ Flexi portfolios reflect the change in the fund’s unit price compared to the previous business day, as well as the management fees that are charged. Returns are rounded off to 2 decimal places.
These portfolios invest in underlying money market funds whose returns fluctuate with market conditions. As a result, the unit price of these funds may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged on any given day.
Why are My Daily Returns Showing “< $0.01”?
When your portfolio AUM is small, the daily return may be less than $0.01. In this scenario, you will see "< $0.01" displayed. This means the daily return is between -$0.01 and +$0.01, and returns are still accumulating and will be reflected in your total monthly returns.
Why do I Have a Negative Daily Returns Value?
A negative daily return, rare for money market funds, occurs primarily when the unit price declines compared to the previous business day. Because unit prices can fluctuate based on market conditions, a negative return may happen when:
- the fund’s price has dropped, or
- the day’s net return is lower than the applicable fees
Rest assured, these short-term fluctuations are usually small and temporary. Cash+ Flexi is designed to deliver stable returns over time, and historically, any rare negative days have quickly corrected as returns continue to accrue.
When Will I Start Seeing Daily Returns for a New Flexi Portfolio?
Daily returns will appear starting the day after your funds are invested.
When Are Daily Returns Updated?
Returns for the previous business day are typically updated around 2PM on business days after the latest fund prices are received from the fund manager. Until then, the returns displayed will reflect the performance from two business days prior.
Returns are generally displayed for business days (Monday to Friday), as money market funds have price movements during business days. No daily returns will be displayed on public holidays.
Additional Notes
For closed (dormant) portfolios, daily returns remain viewable up to and including the business day immediately before the portfolio was closed.
